CONSIDER AUTHORIZING LEGAL ASSISTANCE TO COUNCIL MEMBER MARRS IN RESPONDING TO AND CONTESTING COMPLAINTS FILED WITH THE TEXAS ETHICS COMMISSION -- Discuss and consider approval of the City providing legal assistance to Councilmember Marrs in responding to and contesting complaints filed with the Texas Ethics Commission, including one or more of the following: A) authorizing and instructing the City Attorney to assist Councilmember Marrs; and/or B) authorizing reimbursement or indemnification of Councilmember Marrs for the costs of retaining private counsel to assist him in responding to and contesting complaints filed with the Texas Ethics Commission.
